How long will a soy candle burn?
Soy wax candles typically will burn 8-9 hours per ounce of wax, with proper care.  Soy wax burns at a low temperature and thus produces longer burn times, providing you with greater value of your product.  Soy wax burns 30-50% longer than paraffin.

What are the benefits of a soy wax candle? 
It is biodegradable and environmentally friendly.  There are no carcinogens produced from burning soy wax and it is non-toxic.  It is also water-soluble, meaning it cleans up with soap and water.

Are there other benefits of using soy wax?  Yes, there are.  Little or no soot is produced when you burn soy wax and it will not discolor your walls or furniture with petroleum byproducts.  Also soy wax holds its scent and color better than paraffin.

Does using soy wax impact the economy?  Yes it does.  It is a renewable resource where petroleum, that is used to make paraffin, is a limited resource.  Soy wax is made from the soybean, thus helping to support the American farmer.

What are our wicks made from?  They are made from all natural cotton except for our wood wicks.  Our wood wicks have a wooden wick that crackles when it burns.  All our other soy candles have lead-free cotton wicks.   

What is the small pool of wetness on top of my soy jar candle?  It is "sweat".  Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax.  This causes the release of excess moisture that it can't hold.  It does not affect the burn quality and usually won't show back up after the first burn.  Usually it only shows up in jar candles.  You can leave it or blot it out with a paper towel.

How do I burn a pillar?  Be sure and read the warning label for obtaining the best burn.  Before lighting the pillar for the second time, be sure and trim the wick to 1/4".  Don't burn the pillar for more than 4 hours at a time.  These two actions will allow the best burn for your pillar.

Do we charge sales tax?
We only charge sales tax for items shipped in Iowa.  A 6% sales tax is charged.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Orders are usually shipped in 10 buisness days or sooner, but could take up to two weeks if we have a heavy workload.  We make every attempt to process each order in a timely fashion.

Where do we ship?
We currently ship only to the 48 continental United States.  We ship via FedEx Ground and charge a flat rate of $9.00 per order.  FedEx requires a physical address and will not ship to a PO box.

What happens if we are out of stock of one kind of soy candle?  We will make every effort to ship it as soon as more are available from production, or you can choose a different soy candle product to fill your needs.

What if I want to return a product?  We will do everything possible to make sure you are satisfied with your soy product and evaluate on an individual basis how that can best be accomplished for you.
